Filmmaker Karan Johar recently added a humorous twist to his relationship status by declaring that he is dating Instagram. In a lighthearted note shared on his Instagram Stories, he mentioned how the platform listens to him and even helps him pay some bills.

Karan Johar reveals his dating life on Instagram story

Karan Johar playfully stated, “I am dating Instagram! It listens to me… makes me follow my dreams and even pays some bills! What’s not to love?” Despite his playful comments, Karan has previously expressed feelings of loneliness. Last year during Diwali, he revealed the contrast between social gatherings and his feelings of solitude. He shared on Instagram, “Diwali ki raate, itni mulakaate, itni saari baatein, bheed mein fir bhi tanhai, single status se kab hogi judaai,” which translates to a reflection on being surrounded by people yet feeling alone.

Karan Johar’s model won hearts

Karan made a stylish entrance at the Ajio Luxe Wkend gala in Mumbai, walking alongside actor Sidharth Malhotra. He donned an elegant all-white ensemble, featuring a satin shirt, trousers, and a trench blazer. Johar was accessorized with a diamond necklace and emerald brooch that matched the event’s theme, The Gilded Hour.

Karan Johar’s upcoming projects

Looking ahead, Karan is set to direct an untitled series for Netflix India, with production expected to start soon. His last directorial venture was the 2023 film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Additionally, he has produced several films, including Kill, Yodha, Mr & Mrs Mahi, and Jigra. He is also set to produce Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. It will be directed by Sameer Vidwans and featuring Kartik Aaryan. This film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in 2026.
